Happy Monday! Welcome back to another week of ESC News Blog!
Did anyone happen to see the ILTA Weekly Newsletter, January 29, 2025, they had a teaser for an announcement reprinted from Journal of Petroleum Technology titled, “Kinder Morgan Gives $1.7 Billion Trident Pipeline the Go-Ahead”? In the article, it speaks on how Kinder Morgan has moved forward with their project to build the Trident Intrastate Pipeline at the cost of $1.7 Billion. The pipeline will start near Katy, Texas and will stop at Golden Pass LNG in Port Arthur, Texas. The pipeline is anticipated to have delivery points or outlets for services in Grimes, San Jacinto, Liberty, Hardin and Jefferson counties, avoiding Harris County and Houston according to its open season announcement last year. The natural gas pipeline will be 216-miles long with 48- and 42- inch diameter pipe. The completed pipeline will supply almost 1.5 Bcf/D and has the expectation to be in service in early 2027. The Trident Intrastate Pipeline will be pursuing their permissions and approvals from all appropriate government agencies.
