Mountain Valley Pipeline is up and running on a limited basis!

Happy Monday!  Welcome back to another week of ESC’s News Blog!  Have you prepared for the storms coming into Houston?  We hope so, just in case the weather is correct for once.

At this point, you know how we enjoy writing follow-ups to our Blog!  We spoke about Mountain Valley Pipeline back in June of last year getting approval to begin construction.  Well, they are in the News again.

Did anyone happen to read the Oil & Gas Journal’s Daily Update Newsletter on June 14, 2024, their article titled, “Mountain Valley Pipeline begins operations”?  In the article, it speaks about Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) is up and running as of June 14th.   MVP is a 303-mile natural gas pipeline which goes from northwest West Virginia to southern Virginia where it connects with Transcontinental Gas Pipeline this interstate pipeline has received all state, local and federal approvals, and last week was green-lighted by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  MVP was built by Mountain Valley Pipeline, L.L.C. which is a joint venture of Equitrans Midstream Corp., NextEra Energy, Inc., Consolidated Edison, Inc., AltaGas, Ltd., and RGC Resources.  Equitrans Midstream will run the MVP now that it is in limited operations until its contracts kick in July 1st.   If you would like to read more of Oil and Gas Journal’s article, please click the link:   Mountain Valley Pipeline begins operations | Oil & Gas Journal (ogj.com).
