FERC approves two projects which will help LNG exporting.

Happy Thursday!

Did anyone happen to read the Oil & Gas Journal’s Daily Update Newsletter on February 15, 2024, their article titled, “FERC approves two projects designed to boost US natural gas exports”?   In the article, it spoke in regard to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approving two projects for further development to assist in the continued support of the U.S. exporting our natural gas to the world.   The first project approved was Tellurian Inc.’s Driftwood LNG plant and pipeline in Louisiana was given an extension of 3-years because they have proven their project has been delayed by “entirely unforeseeable circumstances” which included the recent pandemic.  The second project approved is ONEOK Inc.  who requested a Presidential Permit for its proposed Saguaro Connector natural gas pipeline which will cross into Mexico from Texas.  After the recent news of the Department of Energy (DOE) temporarily pausing new non-Free Trade Agreement LNG export applications, these two projects moving forward are welcoming news.  If you would like to read more of the Oil & Gas Journal’s article, please click the link:   FERC approves two projects designed to boost US natural gas exports | Oil & Gas Journal (ogj.com).
