Did anyone happen
to see the newsletter from ILTA News Plus, December
21, 2023, they had a teaser for an article titled, “RaceTrac Completes Acquisition
of Gulf Oil”? The article it speaks about
RaceTrac, Inc. admitted their peripheral, Metroplex Energy, Inc. has finalized
the purchase of Gulf Oil, LLC. with all its federal approvals and all parties
having fulfilled their agreements. Gulf
Oil’s brand in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and its agreements which is about 1,100
branded stations and the Massachusetts Turnpike service stations now belong to RaceTrac. RaceTrac plans on taking the centenarian
company into its next century with the same high standards and quality. Their peripheral,
Metroplex Energy has made Ron Sabia, a past President of Gulf Oil, as Chief
Operating Officer and Chief of the Gulf Oil unit. Now that Metroplex are owners and an officer
in position the next step will begin. We
wish the new Gulf Oil owners a speedy transition and a prosperous future! If you
