Brazil to be the next new member of OPEC+, and OPEC+ will continue production cuts in 2024.

Did anyone happen to read the Oil & Gas Journal’s Daily Update Newsletter on November 30, 2023, their article titled, “Brazil to become member of OPEC+ coalition”?  In the article, it goes on to speak about the Brazilian Energy Minister, Alexandre Silveira de Oliveira stated during an OPEC+ meeting on November 30, 2023, his country will be joining them in January 2024.  Brazil’s President, Lula da Silva has agreed to join.  Cooperation Charter documents were given to the Brazilian Energy Minister for his country to review and sign.  Another agreement during the meeting today was OPEC+ would continue production cuts into 2024 due to the prices being down in oil.  The next OPEC and non-OPEX Ministerial Meeting is scheduled for June 1, 2024, in Vienna.  If you would like to read more of the Oil & Gas Journal’s article, please click the link:   Brazil to become member of OPEC+ coalition | Oil & Gas Journal (ogj.com).
