Texas Energy Fund approves another power plant being built in West Texas.

Happy Thursday!

It’s been a while since we blogged on the Texas Energy Fund; see our Blog in Mid-May 2026.  Well, another company has had their loan approved.

Did anyone happen to read MSN on October 15, 2026, they had an article from The Cool Down titled, “Texas puts state loan behind West Texas gas plant”?  In the article, it speaks on how recently Pecos Power Plant LLC and its backers: Mecuria and Continental Resources were given a low-cost loan from the taxpayer approved Texas Energy Fund for their natural gas power plant.  Pecos Power Plant LLC is being built in Reeves County, Texas and is expected to generate 450 MW starting in 2027, and it is the ninth loan given from the Texas IN-ERCOT Generation Loan Program.  We wish them luck getting their power plant operational bringing power to West Texas, we will let you know if we hear anything else on the Texas Energy Fund.  If you would like to read more of the article from The Cool Down published on MSN, please click the link: Texas puts state loan behind West Texas gas plant expected to power 110,000 homes.

Don’t forget to check out our ESC website or contact us via the email in the Blog, if you have a hydrocarbon liquids project you would like to see get off the ground or you would like to see what’s under your feet to help with your emissions!
