Guess which midstream company is expanding LPG exports along the Houston Ship Channel?

Happy Thursday!

Did you guess which midstream company is expanding?  Enterprise Products Partners made the announcement this week!

Did anyone happen to read gCaptain Daily Newsletter on July 31, 2024, their article titled, “Enterprise Products Partners Reveal Major Expansion of Export Capacity Along Houston Ship Channel”?  The article speaks in regard to the Enterprise Products Partners (EPP) the midstream company has announced they will be increasing the size of their Enterprise Hydrocarbons Terminal (EHT) which is situated adjacent to the Houston Ship Channel.  Once the terminal is updated, they are expecting to increase their refrigeration capabilities for propane and butane exports to around 300,000 barrels per day (BPD), and they will be able increase the loading speeds for them.  Additionally, they will make more room for propylene exports.   EHT’s expansion should be completed and in operation before the end of 2026.  EPP’s interest to expand is due to the demand and success they are having over in Orange, Texas for their Neches River Terminal (NRT) project which they are currently developing and contracting.  Their NRT will be by their Beaumont East refined products terminal, and it will be constructed in two stages with the first stage is expected to be in operation by mid-2025 and the second stage in operation by mid-2026.  This EPP’s expansion is good news for the folks who use the Houston Ship Channel to export LPGs.  If you would like to read more of gCaptain’s article, please click the link: Enterprise Products Partners Reveals Major Expansion of Export Capacity Along Houston Ship Channel (gcaptain.com).
