Happy Monday! Welcome back to another week of ESC News Blog!
At this point,
you know how we enjoy writing follow-ups for our Blog! We wrote about the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) having
purchased or have had returned to them approximately 42.6 million barrels of
oil, and they have lined up purchasing agreements for another 3.3 million
barrels to be delivered in October.
Did anyone
happen to read the DOE’s CESER Updates Newsletter for the Strategic Petroleum
Reserve on June 3, 2024, their update included, “Biden-Harris
Administration Continues to Secure a Good Deal for Taxpayers as Replenishment
of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Progresses”?
In the DOE’s updates, the SPR has announced the awardees for their
solicitation for purchase from their May 17, 2024, request. SPR has accepted contracts for 3 million barrels
of crude to be delivered to Big Hill SPR facility in November by the end of the
month for the median purchase price of $77.69 per gallon. Twenty-five proposals were submitted from 7
companies and 3 of the companies won the RFP due to their pricing and their product
meeting requirements. If you would like more
