Happy Wednesday!
Did anyone read The Houston
Chronicle Business Section on Monday, May 29, 2023, their article
titled, “Startup could have big role in hydrogen – Houston company to test
its technology for making the gas cleanly”?
In the article, it speaks about a company who built on a breakthrough
developed at Rice University which uses light to power chemical reactions. Rice University developed ‘antenna-reactor
catalysts’ in 2016. Syzygy Plasmonics uses
this catalyst in their reactors. Their
electric powered ammonia reactor is about be tested in South Korea and later
this year in the U.S. If it works, it will make no emissions and be
able to “crack” ammonia into hydrogen cost effectively. This would be good news in the fight against
climate change by making green hydrogen and for ammonia producers! If you
