Well, welcome back to a beginning of a new week! We hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Did anyone read on the
internet from Yahoo! News last week about the reprint of the New
York Times article,” A Different Kind of Pipeline Project Scrambles Midwest Politics” from March
20, 2023. It’s pretty interesting because it speaks
about the same kind of complaints people made about other pipelines like
landowners not wanting it to cross their property, and it might be
dangerous. The same groups that
protested against the Keystone XL and the Dakota Access Pipelines are joining
forces once more against Summit Carbon
Solutions proposed approximately 2,000-mile carbon dioxide pipeline which
would be crossing five states to be stored underground in North Dakota. I guess after getting all this bad press Summit Carbon Solutions wanted to let
everyone know it is making progress with the carbon dioxide pipeline. Today Summit
Carbon Solutions announced they’ve acquired 70% of the pipeline route from
North Dakota landowners by voluntary easement agreements. It sounds like the
rest may be an uphill battle, but check out the article and see what you
think. Is this the partial solution to
climate change?
